A Photographic Journey of Mount Kilimanjaro – Day 4 Karanga (Peanut) Camp

By day four of our Kilimanjaro 7-Day Machame Route Climb, we were starting to feel like ‘real’ mountaineers!

Sleep was becoming something of a rarity, our bodies were beginning to feel (and show!) the effects of hiking at altitude, and our appetites were waning… but we were closing in on the ice-capped peak of Africa’s highest mountain – and that was all the inspiration we needed.

We woke up to find our tents covered in frost, but after a warm breakfast and plenty of steaming tea, we were refreshed and ready to tackle the imposing (but relatively easy to climb) Barranco Wall…
