Is Climbing Kilimanjaro on your Bucket List? Do you dream of hiking to the Roof of Africa? Then why not join us on a Private Kilimanjaro Expedition October 2019!
Climbing Kilimanjaro is a lifelong dream for many, and rightly so. It’s one of the few Seven Summits that inexperienced hikers can climb, and it offers untold rewards in terms of personal achievement, but many people struggle to find someone to share the adventure with, and so the only option is to take a private tour or join a group.
This Schedule Kilimanjaro Tour, as recommended in Henry Stedman’s Kilimanjaro Book for offering good value, will take you along the Machame Route to the top of Africa’s highest mountain. It’s a guaranteed departure for just 2 people or more, and it costs just £2395.00 per person including flights from London (other UK, European & International connections available).
Here’s a brief overview of this amazing adventure:
DAY 1: DEPART ON OVERNIGHT FLIGHT TO KILIMANJARO (JRO)
DAY 2: ARRIVE KILIMANJARO
Transfer to hotel. Afternoon briefing with mountain guide to discuss the following day’s departure time and itinerary. Group dinner. Overnight: 4* Hotel. Meals Included: Dinner
DAY 3: ARUSHA – MACHAME CAMP
After breakfast, transfer to Machame Gate to complete registration and hand luggage over to our KPAP supported mountain crew. Overnight: Camping Machame Camp. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
DAY 4: MACHAME CAMP – SHIRA CAMP

DAY 5: SHIRA CAMP – BARRANCO CAMP
Today is an important day for acclimatisation, and to limit the effects of altitude sickness, we will climb high and sleep low. Ascending into the alpine desert, we will hike slowly towards the Lava Tower at 4,630m above sea level, before descending down through the immense canyon of Grand Barranco to base camp. Our team will serve lunch on route. Hiking Time: Approximately 7 hours. Overnight: Camping Barranco Camp. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
DAY 6: BARRANCO CAMP – KARANGA CAMP
Today’s hike up and over the Barranco Wall may seem a little daunting, but after a warm breakfast we will be more than ready to attempt this imposing wall of rock. A relatively short day of hiking, the Barranco wall takes approximately 2-hours to mount, and the views from the top are spectacular. With no further increase in elevation, we will trek through the glacial valleys towards Karanga Camp. Hiking Time: Approximately 4 hours. Overnight: Camping Karanga Camp. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
DAY 7: KARANGA CAMP – KOSOVO CAMP – MIDNIGHT SUMMIT ATTEMPT
Today is another important day for acclimatisation, and while the trek to Barafu camp is relatively steep, we will arrive at around midday leaving plenty of time to relax. After lunch, we will have time to rest before an early dinner at around 6pm, and then rest again until around 11pm, when we will begin the preparations for our summit attempt. Hiking Time: Approximately 4 hours. Overnight: Camping Barafu Camp – Midnight Summit Attempt. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
DAY 8: SUMMIT – BARAFU CAMP – MWEKA CAMP
Today is the day we have been dreaming about, and after 6-7 hours hiking, we will reach the welcoming sign of Stella Point. After a brief rest to watch the sun rise over Africa with some hot tea, we will continue to Uhuru Peak at 5,895m above sea level. After taking those cherished photos from the Roof of Africa, we will begin our descent back to Barafu Camp for a well-deserved lunch. We will then continue down to Mweka Camp for our final evening on the mountain. Hiking Time: Approximately 11 – 13 hours. Overnight: Camping Mweka Camp. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
DAY 9: MWEKA CAMP – MOSHI
After our last mountainside breakfast, we will begin our final ascent to Mweka Gate where we will bid farewell to our mountain crew before heading back to the hotel for a much-needed shower. In the evening, we’ll regroup to celebrate over dinner. Hiking Time: Approximately 3 – 5 hours. Overnight: 4* Hotel. Meals Included: Breakfast and Dinner

After breakfast, we will have some time to relax and shop for any last-minute souvenirs, before transferring back to the airport for your return flight home.
